Chapel Choir 

The Village Chapel Choir has been one of the principal Chapel ministries since its inception in 1999, providing choral worship music for our 8:30 worship services as well as other Chapel services and events as needed.  The Choir meets every Sunday at 7:30 a.m. to prepare for the 8:30 a.m. service and rehearses briefly afterward most Sundays.  Any singers with choral experience, visitors and residents alike, who enjoy choral music, sight-reading and singing to the glory of God are invited to join us when on the island to participate in this special worship activity.   Over the years, the choir has presented numerous concerts and cantatas, including a joint performance of Schubert’s Mass in G with St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Southport. The ensemble performed in Memorial Day programs at the Lighthouse, has caroled all around the island, participated in the All-Choir Festival in Southport, a fundraiser for the local food pantry, and sang for the Old Baldy Foundation Christmas Tree Auction.   Please contact the Music Director for more information.

Women to Women

This group of women meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.  The group is currently meeting in the Ocean Room at the Bald Head Island Club.  The meetings include speakers or discussions concerning topics relative to women in today’s world.  This is an opportunity for women to share their life experiences.  All are welcome to attend whether a BHI regular or an occasional visitor.  If you have any questions, please check the Event Calendar or contact the Chapel Administer. 

Men’s Fellowship Group

This group generally meets the first and third Mondays of every month from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. The location changes. The group is a lively fellowship that believes in connecting men to men and men to God. Zoom attendance is also available.  Please feel free to contact either Dick Johnston at erj@bellsouth.net or Rocky Rausch at rockyrausch@gmail.com for more information. All are welcome to attend whether a BHI regular or an occasional visitor.

Meals and Support

The Outreach team is available to provide meals and other support to island residents and visitors in times of need. Contact the Chapel office for more information or to volunteer.

Intercessory Prayer

Prayer requests may be placed in the box located in the Chapel narthex or by contacting the Chapel office. Requests may also be included in the Chapel’s Prayer Chain; requests for the email prayer chain are currently being accepted by faatbeach@aol.com 

Communion for Shut-Ins

Communion is available for those unable to attend Chapel services. Please call the Chapel Office for more information.

Rosary
